A Bit About Me
A Tampa Bay Area native currently living in Portland, Oregon, my career has taken me cross-country twice, including creative and communications roles in Vail, Colorado, and San Jose, California.
In 2013, I became a radio show host as an advertising student for a nonprofit radio station based in Gainesville, Florida. At the time, I was also interning at a record label best known for Less Than Jake and its signature, colorful vinyl records. On the show, I sampled and featured local talent as a live performance scout for my college student government and production team and helped curate showcases, events, and concerts.
While pursuing my degree, I started designing posters for shows at the local Civic Media Center, 1982 Music and Arts Venue, and artists like Pine Hill Haints and Twin Forks. On the side, I was crafting melodies on a 49-key MIDI board and Samson G-track and writing short stories from the cramped corner of my dorm.
My introduction to the music industry, from growing up around instruments and artists to becoming a college intern and eventually a festival coordinator for Tampa's annual Gasparilla Music Festival, opened the door to graphic design, strategy, and communications experience with the National Football League, National Hockey League, and affiliates. Shortly after, I began contract agency roles for Silicon Valley startups and more and am currently writing a book.
In my free time, I continue to write and produce music, chase bluebird days at Mt. Hood, or escape to the coast with my husband and our dog.
